Q&A: Getting to Know Nimaako Brown

Nimaako Brown - Member of Dorson's Board of Directors

Nimaako, another new Board Member at Dorson, is also a Dorson alumna. As a teen and high school student, she took advantage of the programs that Dorson offered. When the opportunity presented itself, Nimaako eagerly joined the Board of Directors to serve students in her community with whom she shares a similar background. She understands, firsthand, the value of Dorson Community Foundation and its mission.

Through her career in healthcare, Nimaako has contributed to the betterment of hers and surrounding communities. She developed and managed initiatives to address health disparities in her hometown of Newark, NJ, Harlem, NYC as well as communities across the country.

Who/What is your biggest inspiration?

My paternal grandmother.
